March 22, 2016 Time Lapse Video

March and April usually bring the largest snow storms of the year. They can go on for a few days, often with the loss of power as wet snow weighs down limbs and wires. This is the sky as it developed leading into the storm. Most of the daylight portion of the video is uneventful; it wasn't until night time that the storm got into full swing. Then at about 1:10 minutes into the video there is a green flash down on the Plains which I believe was caused by wires coming down. Power went out shortly afterwards, but the RPi kept going on batteries for awhile. The aftermath is in another video. Play at full screen to get a good look. (click square at lower right)
